A news report, the other day, by NAIJ.COM, an online medium, which fingered Honourable Tniy Nwoye, the November 2017, governorship flag bearer of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Anambra State, and his purported financial god, Prince Arthur Eze, in a dirty political sponsorship deal, is a demonstration of sheer political indecency, a coup against the State and a calculated perfidy against the people.
The duo were reported to have entered into an agreement in which Nwoye, if became governor, would cede thirty percent of Anambra state’s monthly Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) to Eze, his prospective benefactor.
Further, the agreement, according to the media, favoured Prince Eze to nominate ten people to make up the State’s executive council of the dreaming Nwoye administration. All these would be pay back entitlements to Eze for providing the financial assistance in the running of the gubernatorial campaign.
We, as members of the third realm of the government, owed the people responsibility of not only exposing infamy and perfidious conduct against the State but bringing such to the front burner for the constituted authorities to properly administer sanctions.
In view of forgoing, we implore Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), The Attorney-General of the Federation and the Police to objectively probe into this allegation with aim of centrifuging the truth.
The task of achieving political decency in Nigeria is a duty-bound to all of us as citizens therefore, we cannot sit back while our fortune and prosperity are being negotiated by the few bourgeois who hold the states to ransom.
Consequences are predictable, if the authorizes failed to deal with the bad eggs; revenues would be shared by the political capitalist while the infrastructures continue decaying, civil servant would be denied entitlements, people would continue wallowing in poverty, political instability and crisis would be major achievements in nearest future.
