CAC gets certificate of conformity

The Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) on Thursday present certificate of conformity to the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in recognition of remarkable progress made in the ease of doing business in Nigeria.

The CAC was also found to have complied with all the requirements, given room for the issuance of another certificate for a period of three years with effect from 3rd October, 2013.

The official presentation and formal unveiling of the award was done by the Director-General of SON, Joseph Odumodu, in a brief ceremony in Abuja.

Briefing journalists on the new achievement, the Registrar-General of CAC, Bello Mahmud, said that the journey culminating to the success of the event started in 2007 when the Commission obtained its first certification based on NIS ISO 9001,-2000 standard.

He added that as a result of the introduction of NIS ISO 900l,-2000 standards, the Commission converted and obtained a new certificate in 2010 for a period of 3 years which expired in 2013.

“I’m happy that this epoch making event is taking place towards the end of of my tenure as the CEO of the Commission.

“More so, being the only CEO that has achieved 3 ISO Certification within 8 years and the Commission being the first Federal Government Agency to obtained ISO 9001,-2015
