A pilot Automotive Mechatronics Training Centre for the North West Zone is to be established in Gusau, in furtherance of the supportive collaboration between Zamfara State Government and National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC).
This was the outcome of a working visit by the Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, H.E. Barr. Mahdi Mohammed Aliyu Gusau to the Director General of NADDC, Mr. Jelani Aliyu, MFR, in Abuja.

H.E. Barr. Mahdi Gusau asserted that the state government would make spacious land available for the project at a strategic location in the state capital.

The Deputy Governor was excited that the proposed Mechatronics Training Centre would assist in empowering many unemployed youths presently idling away without any tangible thing to do.

Mr. Jelani Aliyu said NADDC would, this year, set up seven pilot Auto Mechatronics Training Centres across the country, one in each geopolitical zone and Abuja.

In addition, NADDC DG stated that the Council was also building three Automotive Industrial Parks in Kaduna, Oshogbo and Nnewi and three Automotive Test Centres in Lagos, Enugu and Zaria.
