2019 AutoEquip Nigeria -International Automotive Parts, Equipment and Service Trade Fair is an international African trade fair on automotive parts, equipments and service held annually in Lagos and co-loated with Lagos International Trade Fair (LITF). The event is scheduled to hold on 4th to 7th November, 2019 at Hall 2 Tafawa Balewa Square, International Trade Fair Complex, Lagos Nigeria.
Each year, Auto equip attracts nearly 100 enterprises and numerous auto parts are available for sourcing at the fair. Participants can meet industry suppliers worldwide and make potential trade and technical connections with them.
The Autoequip exhibition in lagos was the outcome of engagement with several Nigerian stakeholders in the automotive repair and spare parts support space. The Resident Automotive Components Dealers Association of Nigeria (RACDAN) was one of these stakeholders
RACDAN Chair and Auto Expert, Mr. Luqman Mamudu reavealed that RACDAN will have a stand at which dealers and stakeholders can register to grow membership. He said RACDAN has developed a market place online which will be unveiled soon even as Autoequip Nigeria will offer products and relationship which will hopefully reduce the need for Nigerians to travel.
Mr. Mamudu further disclosed that RACDAN is a platform established for automotive equipment, parts and components dealers who crave to source only goods for which they know their quality and to form solid partnership with this sources. Our ultimate objective is to facilitate a business relationship which will eventually engender local manufacturing. This is local content which the nation crave so seriously. In this guise, RACDAN will help to drive the Nigerian automotive ambition.
In his words “It is particularly useful as the forum will provide our mechanics a wide array of automotive diagnostic equipment and repair tools”.
“We expect NIGERIA AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIANS ASSOCIATION (NATA) and others to attend massively”.
“The engagement was by UNITED ASIA INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION GROUP. (UAEC) of China. It’s a leading exhibition group in China which undertakes exhibition and conferences worldwide. RACDAN has entered a working relationship with it in early 2019”
Our reporter gathered that the major aim of the event is create a platform for auto parts and brands in order to promote multi-lateral automotive trade. It is also aimed at increasing the automobile market influence across West Africa since its foundation in the year 2007.
