The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Ogah, Amobi Godwin of the Labour Party as dully elected member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency of Abia State.
Ogah polled a total of 11,769 votes to defeat his closest rival and Deputy Chief Whip of the Nigerian House of Representatives, Nkiruka Onyejeocha Chidubem who polled 8,752 votes while Ofoegbu Loveth Nonye of the People’s Democratic Party came a distant third having polled 6,760 votes.
In 2019, Hon Onyejeocha won her re-election bid for a fourth term in the Nigeria’s Green Chamber. She is one of the longest serving members of the house.
