Dr. Rabiu Olowo takes the helm as Chief Executive of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) with a vision to revamp it into a robust regulator for the public good. During the 51st AGM of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), where he represented Nigeria’s President and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Olowo pledged to create a new, independent regulator focusing on corporate governance and accounting standards to benefit the people.
He emphasized that accountability for high standards in corporate governance, financial reporting, and auditing will be a cornerstone of his tenure, contributing to Nigeria’s sustainable economic growth.
Olowo’s extensive leadership experience in public and private sector finance, including his achievements as a former commissioner for finance in Lagos State, showcases his ability to lead and deliver results. He is committed to capacity building, digitization, and sustainable reporting, and seeks to forge partnerships for exponential growth.
