
On Thursday, November 16, 2023, the Nigerian Automobile Technicians Association (NATA) paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Joseph Osanipin, the Director General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), at the Council Headquarters in Abuja.
Expressing appreciation for NATA’s visit, Osanipin assured the umbrella body of auto mechatronics technicians nationwide of NADDC’s ongoing commitment to knowledge and skills development.
Osanipin highlighted the purpose of the NADDC Automotive Centre of Excellence established nationwide, emphasizing its role in training local technicians on modern technologies to align with international standards.
Addressing NATA members, he stressed the importance of embracing new technologies to remain relevant in the industry, citing the transition from petrol-powered engines to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and the potential future shift to Electric Vehicles (EV).
“You are part of the Council because we recognize the important role you play in the ecosystem, and I’m also happy you acknowledge the support of NADDC to NATA,” Osanipin affirmed, urging NATA members to invest in their future and the auto industry.Encouraging personal development, Osanipin advised NATA members to upgrade their skills and knowledge through collaboration with NADDC Automotive Centres of Excellence.
Comrade Aliyu Adeiza Ibrahim, representing the National President of NATA, pledged unwavering support to the Director General and the entire Council, emphasizing their commitment to making meaningful contributions for the growth of the industry.
