The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced a strategic partnership with the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) to leverage high-powered computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), and other technological solutions to enhance its service delivery.

The collaboration was revealed during a meeting held at NASENI’s headquarters, where CAC’s Registrar-General and CEO, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN, met with NASENI’s Executive Vice Chairman and CEO, Khalil Suleiman Halilu.

Magaji emphasized the rapid improvement of the CAC Registration Portal since he took office in October 2023 and highlighted the necessity of integrating advanced technological solutions to maintain and advance this progress. He stressed that achieving global best practices in company registration through AI would be possible only through such strategic partnerships.

Halilu expressed NASENI’s commitment to providing energy solutions and technological upgrades, which could extend benefits to the CAC. He criticized some private tech companies for exploiting government agencies with redundant or unnecessary products and highlighted NASENI’s forthcoming technology services aimed at offering sustainable and cost-effective solutions.

Engr. Bernard Ozigis Omeiza, Director of Technology Business Development at NASENI, outlined the agency’s achievements, noting that eight new products were ready for market launch and emphasizing their superior solar panel technology. Bashir Aliyu, Special Assistant on ICT to the NASENI CEO, mentioned ongoing collaborations with NITDA, the National Centre for AI Robotics, and the Federal Ministry of Communications and Data Economy to adopt AI technologies used in countries like the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

The CAC delegation was also given a tour of the forthcoming NASENI Technology Hub.
