The Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Kemi Nandap, has announced that 107,646 passports remain uncollected across the country.

This information was disclosed in a statement released by the Service Public Relations Officer, Mr. Kenneth Udo, on Friday.

Nandap urged applicants to collect their ready passports from the various Passport Issuing Centres nationwide, expressing concern over the difficulty in contacting the passport owners despite several attempts.

“Applicants are therefore strongly advised to always provide verifiable addresses and phone numbers when filling their online passport application forms for easy contact,” she stated.

To facilitate the collection process, the NIS CG has directed all Passport Offices in Lagos to operate on Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm.

Nandap encouraged affected individuals to take advantage of this opportunity. For further enquiries, complaints, or feedback, the Service can be reached through designated channels.
