Bank of Industry Reaffirms Commitment to Boosting Industrial Growth, Partners with Tolaram Group for Economic Development

The Bank of Industry (BOI) has reiterated its unwavering commitment to fostering industrial growth and supporting local manufacturers, enterprises, and investors in Nigeria. This pledge was made by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of BOI, Dr. Olasupo Olusi, during a recent visit to the Tolaram Group’s facilities located within the Lagos Free Zone (LFZ).

During the tour, Dr. Olusi emphasized BOI’s dedication to empowering Nigerian enterprises to achieve global success by providing the necessary resources and support to drive significant industrial transformation and economic development in the country. He praised the Tolaram Group for its impressive achievements and its substantial contribution to the nation’s economy, highlighting BOI’s pivotal role in facilitating Tolaram’s extensive industrial initiatives.

“Tolaram Group’s accomplishments in the Lagos Free Zone and the Lekki deep seaport are a testament to the successful collaboration between our entities,” Dr. Olusi remarked. “BOI is proud to be associated with Tolaram, and we remain committed to supporting their ongoing efforts to drive industrial growth and job creation in Nigeria.”

The Managing Director of Tolaram Africa, Mr. Haresh Aswani, expressed his deep appreciation for BOI’s long-standing partnership with Tolaram Group. He acknowledged the bank’s crucial role in Tolaram’s industrial ventures, which have led to substantial industrial growth and the development of critical economic infrastructure in Nigeria.

Aswani also recalled the early days of their partnership when BOI was known as the Nigerian Industrial Development Bank (NIDB), emphasizing the importance of continued industrial development in the country.

“The collaboration between Tolaram and BOI has been instrumental in our success, and we look forward to further strengthening this partnership to continue driving industrial growth in Nigeria,” Aswani stated.

Also speaking during the visit, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Lagos Free Zone (LFZ), Adesuwa Ladoja, stressed the importance of securing the right funding to actualize the zone’s ambitious vision of becoming the premier infrastructure space not only in Nigeria but across Africa and globally. She highlighted the critical role of partnerships with key financial institutions, particularly BOI, in the development of the Lagos Free Zone, making it an attractive destination for both investors and manufacturers.

“BOI’s support has been vital to our development from inception. Their commitment to our vision has played a significant role in making Lagos Free Zone a hub for industrial activity and economic growth,” Ladoja remarked.

The ongoing partnership between BOI and Tolaram Group, as well as the strategic development of the Lagos Free Zone, underscores BOI’s commitment to advancing Nigeria’s industrial landscape, fostering economic development, and positioning the country as a leader in industrialization on the African continent.
