DAAR Communications lauds FCTA over massive infrastructural developments

DAAR Communications Plc, the operators of Raypower FM, Africa Independent Television and Faaji FM across Nigeria and the globe has commended the authorities of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) over what it described as massive strides in infrastructural developments being carried out in the Territory.

DAAR Communications Plc gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammad Musa Bello in his office in Garki, Abuja, led by its Group Managing Director, Mr. Tony Akiotu.

His words: “The Honourable Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, on behalf of the Board of Directors, Management and Staff of DAAR Communications Plc, I most heartily congratulate you and the management of the FCT for the remarkable strides in infrastructural developments recorded in the FCT under your dynamic Administration. I drove round the FCT this afternoon and observed with admiration the huge construction going on in various parts of the city.”

According to Mr. Akiotu, the purpose of the visit was to explore and develop a robust relationship for the development of sports in the country between the FCT Administration and DAAR Communications.

He further explained that the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja has been transformed from a national embarrassment into a national treasure and potential home of champions as a result of partnership between the government and the private sector.

In his response, the Minister of the FCT, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, thanked DAAR Communications and other reputable Private Organizations for taking the initiative to partner with the Government to develop the sports sector.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Mr. Olusade Adesola,the Minister  also remarked that in the course of his assignment, he has midwifed high level strategic discussions which has given rise to the involvement of Private Sectors in the development of sports in the country.

Harping on the need for Private Organizations to partner with Government to develop sports in the nation, the Malam Bello further explained that in most countries of the world, sports are driven by the Private Sector.

According to the Minister, the present FCT Administration has carried out avalanche of projects aimed at transforming the lives of FCT residents. Adding that the Administration would continue to push for private sectors involvement in the development of the city.
